Marilyn LaVergne
ABOUT ME
Interior Designer Marilyn LaVergne is gaining popularity with clients who insist on individualized and sophisticated homes.

“My initial inspiration comes from collaborating closely with my clients,” Marilyn explains.  All my design ideas flow from their lifestyles and imaginations, so that the finished room articulates them -- their design taste and personality.”

Clients remark that Marilyn has a genuine talent for inspiring them to pursue much higher aspirations than they would have working on their own.

She and her team provide a wide range of professional services including kitchen and bath design, interior space planning, color and finish consultation, lighting design, custom furniture design, custom drapery design, upholstery services and art procurement.
She also provides project management on construction projects.

In addition to her personalized approach to serving clients, Marilyn maintains respect for the home’s existing architecture. Her design signature balances both traditional and contemporary styles using uncommon color stories, luxurious materials and classic furniture forms.

Marilyn began her career as a publicist promoting luxury lifestyle goods, specializing in interior design.  She completed the interior design program at Parsons School of design and, in 2004, launched Sepia Home, an interior design showroom located in Montclair, NJ.  Soon she will re-introduce Sepia Home online offering a fascinating mix of contemporary and vintage furniture, handmade lighting, ancient global artifacts and fine art.
